Alumni:
Since 1960, the DC Youth Orchestra Program has provided music
education and enrichment to tens of thousands of students. Students
have come from all over the greater DC metropolitan area with
a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. The organization
has touched the lives of so many individuals. These alumni/ae
have often impacted the memory and heart of the organization,
but more importantly, are making an impact on the world around
them, in part, because of their experience and growth through
the DCYOP.
2007 Alumni Reunion

This page is dedicated to our dear friend, LaFayette E. Jackson,
who passed away on June 19, 2005. Mr. Jackson was a student in
the program from 1963 until 1969, and taught String Bass each
Saturday with the program for over 25 years. He also taught orchestra
in many classrooms across the area during his music career.
