A student's music education is simply not complete without the opportunity to perform - every one of our nearly 800 students in the program perform, from the youngest beginners to the most advanced youth orchestra students!

TheDC Youth Orchestra Program maintains a vibrant and active concert season with approximately 21 concerts per year during the regular season and additional concerts during the summer session; beginning students perform twice each year and all other young musicians perform at least four times per year. Opportunities to perform regularly are a vital part of the music education provided through the program. In addition to many concerts, the students also participate in juries and master classes and also perform around the community in smaller chamber groups.
